DOCUMENTARIES

One State Films and its predecessor Waterfront Pictures Corp. have produced ten feature documentaries since 1996 as well as short films aired in the U.S. and worldwide. The documentaries listed below are our most recent productions as well as projects being re-released in 2015. How They Got Over enlarges the story told in our 2012 film The Jefferson County Sound about black gospel quartets in their golden age; The Diary of an Unknown Aviator tells of three American pilots in World War I and the weight of their experience afterward; In the Wake of the Assassins is about the 1950s crime town of Phenix City, Alabama, and the political turmoil it helped produce; Uncle Tony tells of a family run cinema in Rosendale, New York and its rescue by local citizens; Mali in Five Minutes is a segment of a longer work filed in Mali, west Africa.
